Workspace Policy & Guidelines

Please review our comprehensive framework of professional standards, ethics, and operational protocols that govern the AcademeForge remote workspace.

1. Code of Conduct & Ethics

We are committed to providing a professional, inclusive, and harassment-free work environment. All interns are required to conduct themselves with the highest degree of professionalism during all interactions.

1.1 Professional Communication

  • Maintain a respectful and professional tone across all internal communication channels (Slack, Discord, Email, Video Calls).
  • Respond to direct mentions and project-related inquiries within a 24-hour window on business days.
  • Refrain from using offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate language under any circumstances.

1.2 Anti-Harassment & Inclusion

AcademeForge maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy towards any form of harassment, discrimination, or bullying. Any breach of this policy will result in immediate termination of the internship program and may incur legal action.

2. Confidentiality & Intellectual Property

Important: Adherence to confidentiality protocols is mandatory and legally binding even after the conclusion of your internship.

2.1 Non-Disclosure

During the course of your internship, you will have access to proprietary data, internal processes, product roadmaps, and unreleased designs. You are strictly prohibited from sharing, publishing, or discussing this confidential information with third parties or on public forums without explicit written authorization.

2.2 Intellectual Property Rights

All code, designs, documentation, strategies, and materials created during your tenure at AcademeForge are the exclusive property of AcademeForge. You may not repurpose, sell, or claim ownership of these assets for personal or commercial ventures.

3. Remote Workspace Guidelines

Our remote ecosystem relies on structure and clear boundaries to operate efficiently.

3.1 Meeting Etiquette

  • Punctuality: Join all scheduled meetings precisely on time.
  • Environment: Join meetings from a quiet, well-lit workspace. Minimize background noise and visual distractions.
  • Video/Audio: While video is highly encouraged to build rapport, it is mandatory during onboarding, performance reviews, and client-facing calls.

3.2 Official Channels

All official work, project handoffs, and discussions must occur strictly on AcademeForge-approved platforms. Do not use personal messaging applications for official business communication.

4. Commitment & Performance

While our internships are unpaid, they are structured to provide immense professional value, networking, and verifiable experience. In return, we expect a consistent level of commitment.

4.1 Availability & Hours

Interns must fulfill their agreed-upon weekly hourly commitments (e.g., 10-20 hours). Hours are flexible, but consistent output and meeting project deadlines are mandatory.

4.2 Evaluation & Certification

To successfully complete the program and receive an official **Certificate of Experience** and a **Letter of Recommendation**, interns must:

  • Successfully complete 100% of assigned milestones.
  • Maintain active communication and responsiveness.
  • Demonstrate adherence to all policies listed in this document.

5. Data Security & Device Usage

Safeguarding our digital infrastructure is a shared responsibility.

5.1 Handling Credentials

  • Never share your official AcademeForge credentials, access tokens, or API keys with anyone, inside or outside the organization.
  • Use strong, unique passwords and enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) on all tools used for official work.

5.2 Secure Storage

All project files and documentation must be stored on the secure cloud infrastructure provided by AcademeForge. Do not store proprietary source code or sensitive data locally on unprotected personal devices.

6. Termination Policy

AcademeForge reserves the right to terminate an internship at any time if policies are violated.

6.1 Grounds for Immediate Dismissal

  • Breach of the Confidentiality or Non-Disclosure guidelines.
  • Violation of the Anti-Harassment policy.
  • Unexcused absence or radio silence for more than 5 consecutive business days.
  • Intentional sabotage, data theft, or misuse of organizational resources.

6.2 Offboarding Procedures

Upon conclusion or termination of the internship, all access to internal systems, repositories, and communication channels will be revoked. The intern must permanently delete any proprietary data stored on their personal devices.
